Driving Range

Forty bays of open-air practice — eighteen of them covered and heated for year-round play.

The covered, heated driving range bays at The Acres

The Range

The Acres offers a self-service range ball dispenser with access to all 40 driving range bays, year round — 18 of them covered and heated for the cold months. Open every day, including holidays, from 7am to 11pm. Weighing it against the big-box bays? See how we compare as a Topgolf alternative.

Working on a swing change or just hitting a bucket after work, it goes the same way: grab a bucket and pick a bay. Food and drinks from the Restaurant + Bar are welcome on the range.

How it works

No tee times and no hourly bay rate. Buy a bucket at the self-serve ball dispenser (or with the Select Pi app or a range card), pick any open bay, and hit until the bucket's empty. It's the same walk-up range Etter's ran on Reading Road for seventy years.

Real grass, full flight

The ball doesn't stop at a net. You watch the whole shot land out on the grass, which is the whole point of a range. Want the numbers too? The private Trackman bay opens onto the same range.

Open all winter

The range is open every day of the year, holidays included. 18 of the 40 bays are covered and heated, so a cold January night is still a range night. For one-on-one help, book a lesson with a PGA pro.

Range questions, answered

How much does the driving range cost?

Range buckets are $9 (small), $12 (medium) and $14 (large). The Acres has 40 driving range bays, 18 of them covered and heated. Download the Select Pi app or add a QR-coded range card for a discount and faster bucket buying.

Is the driving range open in winter?

Yes. The range is open every day of the year, including holidays, from 7am to 11pm (from 10am on Wednesdays for mowing). 18 of the 40 bays are covered and heated, so cold or wet weather doesn't shut it down.

Can I take food and drinks onto the range or the mini golf course?

Yes. Order from the Restaurant + Bar and bring it with you. Food and drinks are welcome on the driving range, and a drink in hand is a time-honored way to play a round of mini golf.

What is the Trackman room and how much does it cost?

It's a golf simulator where the ball actually flies: a fully private, heated bay in the covered range with a garage door that opens onto the grass, so you hit real balls and watch the full shot while Trackman tracks the data. There's an 80-inch screen with 250+ simulated courses, cable TV, and seating for up to 8. It's $50/hour for up to 4 people and $75/hour for 5 or more, and you can order food and drinks from the Restaurant + Bar to the room from your phone.

Do you offer golf lessons?

Yes. Lessons are available from experienced PGA Professionals Jim Peters and Sonny Rinala. Contact each pro directly to schedule.
