"Formerly Etter's Golf Center, The Acres has been a beloved gathering place along Mill Creek since the 1950s."
For seventy years it was a simple driving range, putt-putt and pro shop. In 2021 a longtime regular and a few friends bought it, kept the range open, restored the mini golf, and turned the flat-roofed clubhouse into a restaurant and bar instead of tearing it down.
A menu by LeRoy Ansley of Uncle Leo's: smashburgers, fried chicken sandwiches and house-smoked wings. Craft beer on draft, a rotating cocktail menu, seltzers and a few wines. Two 18-hole mini golf courses. Forty driving range bays, eighteen of them covered and heated. Trackman simulation technology. A four-season patio with fire pits and room to breathe.
